The 2nd International Forum on Responsible Banking and Finance is a follow up event of a hugely successful 1st forum organized by IBDE and hosted by KPMG on 19 March 2013. The Forum provides a timely opportunity to promote the need for more ethical and transparent business practice worldwide. It will also examine future objectives to stimulate more responsible conduct amongst professionals and banking markets in order to avoid the bad banking practices and financial scandals that have so damaged the image and credibility of financial institutions in recent years. In addition the Forum will facilitate information exchange and contacts between prospective UK and international stakeholders.

These forums provide constructive input in addressing these challenges by focusing on issues such as: financial regulation and supervision, corporate governance, ethics and banking, long term risks to financial institutions, markets and sound investment practice.

Held at the heart of the UK’s Financial Centre in the City of London, this high level event will bring together a wide range of policy-makers, regulators, senior industry practitioners, diplomats, academics as well as economic and finance experts from participating sectors and institutions.

Topics under discussion will be:

  • What are the key concerns of Governments and regulators on standards and culture in banking?
  • How have firms and the wider market already responded, what role does Corporate Governance play?
  • Global Banking Regulation & Supervision: Best practice in banking and corporate governance
  • What are the key challenges in addressing banking reforms internationally?

Who should attend?

Policy-makers, regulators, industry practitioners (CEOs, CFOs EDs, MDs, managers, directors and board members, decision-makers and strategists), diplomats, economists as well as experts from participating sectors and institutions and the media.
